I was blessed to grow up in a family that sang. Many of our concerts were in the car while we traveled from Illinois to Tennessee. We sang songs from the Top Ten to church songs to Boggie Woggie Bugle Boy.
I was also blessed to grow up in a family that told stories. Little did I know I was keeping this tradition alive while telling stories to my children, grandchildren, those I taught in my preschool, “Special Friends," and Storytelling Festivles. It also open the door for me to facilitate workshops at Child Care Conferences on how to use storytelling in all areas of their curriculm.
I wanted to compile my stories, songs, and poems but found it overwhelming, which is probably why this venture took thirty some years. I did start several times but stopped as I found telling stories a lot easier than writing them.
I am so thankful to God for his direction in this endeveror of helping me find the right time to write this book. I am so thankful you have taken this journey along with me.
